AWS DevOps Engineer

• Salary: up to £100k Base + Benefits
• Location: Hybrid, 2 days in office (London)

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced, professional, and enthusiastic AWS DevOps engineer to work on a greenfield project at an industry leading FinTech start-up.

The role involves hands-on development and support of all aspects of our clients:

• AWS infrastructure, including network configuration and access control
• Continuous integration development environment
• Build, deployment, and monitoring pipeline

Key Skills & Experience

• Extensive hands-on experience supporting and developing multiple AWS infrastructure environments in a commercial environment
• In-depth, hands-on expertise with core AWS technologies:
  • Networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, Route53, ELB, Auto Scaling, WAF)
  • Access Control (IAM, KMS, Certificate management)
  • AWS Services (EC2, ECR, CodeArtifact, CloudWatch, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, Kinesis, RDS, MSK, Backup)
• Commercial experience with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
• Implementing scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available AWS architectures using IaC
• Designing and developing CI/CD environments using GitLab, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS SAM
• Building, hardening, and patching Linux AMIs
• Experience with ELK/log aggregation/monitoring
• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO, SOC2)
• Scripting skills (Shell, Python, etc.)

Desirable Technical Skills

• Experience with GCP/Azure

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computing, science, or engineering
• Minimum 3 years of DevOps experience in a commercial environment
